Join us at Sondreson Hall for the Winter Ball on Friday, February 14 at 7:00. Be sure to bring drinks and finger foods to share…and your dancing shoes. Invite anyone who you want. This is open to everyone (even if they don’t dance!)
There are only two more dance classes to get ready for the Winter Ball: Friday, January 31 at 6:00 and Sunday, February 9 at 6:00.

If your spouse/partner can’t come, come anyway! The first hour of the class is geared for total beginners. The second hour is dance moves beyond the basic steps. We are learning to waltz, two step, and swing dance. Everyone is welcome.

The annual Christmas Potluck Dinner is at Sondreson Hall today. The doors open for social hour at 3pm and a potluck dinner is served at 4pm, turkey and ham provided. Please bring a side dish and your own table setting.
Your hosts are Mark & Margaret Heaphy and Alice & Jan Caldwell. This is their 10th year of organizing this celebration!
The Forest Service has big plans for the upper North Fork — including a lot of forestry and restoration work . . .
The Glacier View District of the Flathead National Forest is asking for public comment on the Frozen Moose Project. The project area is on National Forest System lands from Red Meadow Creek to the Canadian Border. The project proposes several types of management activities to reduce fuels in the wildland-urban interface, improve the resiliency of vegetative communities, improve aquatic ecosystems, and provide a mix of forest products. These proposed activities include 3,552 acres of commercial vegetation treatment, 4,630 acres of noncommercial vegetation treatments, road management activities, and other aquatic restoration activities.

Hard copies of the proposed action documents are available by request or can be reviewed at the Hungry Horse-Glacier View Ranger Station (10 Hungry Horse Drive, Hungry Horse, MT, 59919). The traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Hall will be hosted by Janet and Dick Leigh this year.
Thanksgiving dinner is a festive event with hundreds of neighbors and family members packed into the Hall. Food is always plentiful as befitting a Thanksgiving feast. Turkey and ham will be provided and everyone else will bring a large dish of their favorite food to share and the beverage of their choice.
The doors open at 3:00 and the feast will begin at 4:00. Everyone is asked to bring their own place settings (plates, utensils, napkins, and glasses) since dish washing is very difficult without running water at the Hall.
It is that time of year again! Winter dance classes at the Hall will begin the night after Thanksgiving — Friday, November 29, 6:00-8:00pm.
Dance classes are held once-a-week through February …and beginners are welcome! You can come with a partner or as a single. Debo Powers is the instructor and the classes are free.
Please bring beverages and snacks to share. Volunteers who offer to come early to get the fire going to warm up the Hall and shovel a path to the outhouse are always welcome!

New Year’s Eve Dance Party on Tuesday, December 31
Winter Ball & Valentine’s Day Dance on Friday, February 14
Come out on cold winter nights to have fun with your neighbors and learn to dance!!
